Hi there! My name is Joan. I’m here to help you enhance your English proficiency and become good speakers. I’m a licensed Nurse by profession. I used to work as a Public Health Nurse then later on, as a staff Nurse at a primary hospital .I’ve also worked with an American company as a home based Health Staffing Coordinator. My main task in that company was to entertain calls from American people everyday. In my stay there, I really enjoyed talking with foreigners, and this experience has led me improve my English conversational skills. I also did some part time man to man teaching jobs to Korean students. Basically , I’ve been teaching English to foreign learners for 2 years and It has come to my awareness that teaching job is really a calling that I must fulfill. My passion is travelling -because it makes me experience different cultures and cuisines. I love to cook and try new dishes. In my spare time , I usually watch Asian dramas specifically Korean. I like music and going to concerts. My other interests are : reading ebooks , doing crafts and net surfing I hold a certificate in IELTS and I’m also a California Registered Nurse. I can teach SMLE, CALLAN , IELTS ,TOEFL , TOEIC , Business English, Medical English, Simple and Basic English,Intermediate and Advanced English .I can also do Free conversations. In my class, I usually maintain an enjoyable and relaxed atmosphere.I try to give as much assistance to the students and answer all their queries to the best that I can. I’m an optimistic person and I don’t easily give up to challenges. I believe that a person with less familairity in grammar, poor vocabulary and lack of self-confidence to speak English will end up struggling in organizing his thoughts….thus , I’m here to guide the students and work hand in hand with them to achieve a common goal - and that is to become the best in the English language. I was very happy to take your SMLE class. In fact, I couldn't understand some sentences during my last SMLE lesson with another teacher. She didn't repeat the sentences even if I stopped to answer.
