Hi! I’m Teacher Kate! :) Learning English should be fun and easy, so I always try to make my students feel comfortable and relaxed in my classes. I remind them that making mistakes is OK, as long as we learn from them and as long as we use them as steps to improve ourselves. I believe that learning is most effective if we study with our hearts. I started my teaching career when I was in high school. I was a tutor to a grade school student who lived near my house. After college, I worked as a Kumon Reading Teacher and completed the Kumon Reading Program. In 2010, I became an English Instructor Associate in an online English school for Koreans. In my classes, I encourage my students to express themselves as much as they can. I think free chat is a good tool to build one’s confidence in speaking English. I also enjoy teaching English for kids, basic English and intermediate English. I am friendly. I listen intently to what my students say so I can deal well with them. I like driving around the city, singing (when no one’s listening), travelling and baking. I love Japanese food especially Tempura and Sushi.
