Hi! My name is Vladimir but please be more than welcome to call me Brad. I spent my university days in the University of the Philippines where I took a bachelor’s degree in Development Communication and a major in Journalism. I have been an English instructor for a little over four years and I would like think that it has brought out the best in me. I have worked for a US-based call center for seven years and I believe that my previous career has contributed to most of my experience. As an instructor, I personally don’t think of myself as a teacher who teaches, as I believe everyone has already gained the knowledge necessary to speak English from their respective education. Instead, I try to reinforce that skill and help people start thinking English instead of merely translating and repeating through conversations based on activities or materials from the school. I am personally a cheerful and fun-loving person and I enjoy light conversations of just about anything. I also appreciate those who try to express their ideas and opinion on current events as I do my best to ask questions to encourage students to speak out in class. I specialize in grammar and pronunciation, and thanks to my educational background in Journalism, I’m sure you would find me helpful in your compositions and other forms of written language as well. I also work well with structured lessons as I try to explain how each word works with practical applications to incorporate them into your vocabulary. I have undergone and completed Callan training and I'm also able to help students from beginners to advanced levels to review for TOEIC and EIKEN exams. I’m looking forward to hearing from you soon!

2021-07-15

Great class as always.

2020-12-06

「英検のスピーチの最初の導入部分が長すぎるので、そこをもっと短くして20秒くらいにするべきである」と具体的な意見をいただけたので良かったです。

Thak you so much for your useful class as usual. While explaining, you effortlessly wrote a sophisticated summary; you're like a magician! I'm sorry that I can't express my gratitude right away during the lesson as I don't have enough vocaburaries. XS

2014-12-16

Thank you always Brad. Hope to see you again soon.

2014-12-01

I simply don't understand how I can distingish among Brithsh, Irish and Scottish accent by listening to only a few sentences. You can do that immediately! Ooh, amazing! Sugoidesu!!! The kinds of practices in the website are very enjoyable. Moreover, the sample answer of the writing task is useful much more than the same kind of book published in Japan. I know althouth you are a master of writing, analyzing a graph or a chart makes you feel dizzy...sorry! 'cos we need to caluculate the figures and convert it into a percentage or a fraction but IELTS requires us to do that...anyway let's continue this interesting material. See ya tomorrow! Otsukare samadeshita.

2014-11-28

Thanks for the fun class! The writing exercise in the IELTS site was quite interesting. That made me feel as if I was studing mathmatics...! We almost needed a calculator 'cos we are very good at math ?! (oh kidding !) However, this exercise gives us the clues to analize a variety of charts and graphs and would be useful for writing task 1. Thru doing this practice, I hope my writing skill will be polished up.

2014-11-19

Thanks for your awesome writing class! In task 2, writing more than 250 words is required. That's almost killing me!!! I tried to refer to your great experience(?!) of voluntarism but it seemed to be irrelevant to the point of the essay. Moreover, the next task is also tough for me. I can't come up with any ideas to add more in the writing that still lacks more than 60words. I think it'd be better to go to google and check the details of the two machines by the next class. Bye for now!

2014-11-18

Thank you, I enjoyed your lesson.

2014-11-17

Your class is always a lot of fun to me. Even by free chatting, I can learn many new words from you, which is really meaningful. Thank you Brad. Am looking forward to seeing you again soon.

2014-11-13

Thanks a lot Brad. I was lucky and could book your class today after a long interval. Your explanation is always intelligible and clear, which I really like. See you soon hopefully. Enjoy your weekend ahead.

2014-11-08

Thanks for the fun IELTS class! I found the listening section of IELTS is easier than the one of TOEIC, 'cos taking notes is allowed while listening like Eiken. The dialogue is quite long compared to TOEIC and Eiken but it's not difficult to understand at all.I think it'd better to proceed to another section, maybe writing that seems to be more difficult than other sections. According to the text, writing an essay with more than 250 words in only 40minutes is required. I've never done that...!

2014-11-02

I was so glad talking about my anxiety about my daughter with you tonight. Thanks for your advice. I appreciate it! I hope you will definitely come back on this Tuesday...! So let's continue to study IELS. Enjoy your great day off !!!

2014-11-01

I was lucky enough to take your class this time. See you next time.

2014-10-30

Thank you very much for your lesson.Time flies in your lesson. I am looking forward to seeing you very soon.

2014-10-18

I've really enjoyed our talks again. And I appreciate that you've tried to listen to my poor English. Thank you so much(^^♪

2014-10-09

Thanks for today's class. It's very hard for me to express my opinion in just one minue. The perparation time is only 15 seconds. That's too short! I couldn't come up with a good idea or reason about the questions...I need further more practices until I get used to the kind of question. I think today's lesson made you get tired...Gomenne,Otukaresama deshita.

2014-10-09

Thank you Brad. Whenever I talk with you in the lesson, time seems to fly so fast. I really enjoy your class. I am looking forward to seeing you again. Please take care.

2014-09-22

thank you for your lesson. I was happy to talk to you.have a good night.bye for now.

2014-09-18

I really enjoyed your lesson very much. It is a lot of fun to talk with you and to exchange information of each different country. I am looking forward to seeing you again. Have a good weekend ahead.

2014-09-17

I've learned a lot from you today! Many people around me and I had been completely misunderstood about chocolate. I've really enjoyed our talks. Thank you so much(^^♪

2014-09-14

Thank you Brad for your time. It is always a lot of fun to talk with you in your class. I was really lucky to book your class today because you are such a popular teacher. Am looking forward to seeing you again soon.

2014-09-14

Thank You.

2014-09-13

Thank you so much! I really enjoyed talking with you. See you soon!

2014-09-09

Thanks for the great writing class! Now I understand why you can type so quickly! I'll definitely try (play?) the game on that website. I hope to try this kind of writing test after mastering the skill of quick typing. I'll try to finish the next essay by the next your class. See ya!

2014-09-06

Hi, Teacher Brad ! you are so great teacher for me!! see you next time!!

2014-09-04

Writing 300 word- essay is very very hard for me! I almost gave up... I think I should start with more simple and easier level. Otherwise, I won't be able to do anymore 'cos I hardly write essays neither in Japanese nor in English. I need to sum up my opinion and pick up some reasons before starting writing. I wanna take time to do that, so just wait for a while...Anyway enjoy your great day off ! See ya the day after tomorrow !

2014-09-03

Hello, Kamen-writer BRAD sensei! Thnx for teaching my son. He doesn't like taking online lessons but he seemed to enjoy your trial class. Otsukare sama deshita! I also hope to let him try SMLE lesson next time. If you're willing to teach him that, it would be favorable for me, of course! from Terminater's mom ( lol! )

2014-08-26

Thanks for your great writing class! I understood gradually when I write a business e-mail, I need to think about which word or phrase is more polite or more suitable and choose them carefully as depending on the situation. The next exercise was quite weird. Why we couldn't get any points?!?! We don't say "ATM machine" definitely! Let's ignore those rubbish rating. There are a lot of suspicious websites, so we have to be cautious, don't we?

2014-08-23

Thank you for your teaching me! Brad is so good teacher. His lesson is prectical, and very exciting.

2014-08-23

Nice to talk to you again Brad. Your classes deserve to wait for booking I believe. Many thanks for your time. Every time I take your lesson, I can learn many new things. I admire your intelligence. Am looking forward to seeing you again. Please take care and have a lot of fun playing the video game.

2014-08-23

Thank you for teaching me a lot of important points in writing business emails. Your instruction is too excellent to apply my writing...To be frank, I haven't get enough what I learned during the class yet. So I need to review. Muzukashii desu but Ganbari masu!!!

2014-08-19

Thanks for the awesome writing class! I had a great fun during the class as always and I was very glad I was able to learn something very important and useful from you. I admire your excellent writing skill. I know very well that your writing is remarksbly effective in the real business, but in my case, I can't write and type so quickly as you can, so I won't be able to complete the task within given time if I take the real test...I need to summarize what I want to say more concisely and I have to finish writing in short time when I take the test even though I know well the sample answer in the text is really boring and not practical for real business...Anyway I'll complete the practice by the next class. See ya!!!

2014-08-18

I've enjoyed our talks again. Thank you so much(^^♪

2014-08-15

Thank you so much for sharing a very funny comedy video. I'm looking forward to talking with you at next lesson. Have a good night(^^♪

2014-08-15

Thank you for your lesson! see you next time. I'll use that sentens you teach when I meet my boss first meeting!

2014-07-28

Thanks a lot for your wonderful lesson, Brad. Although I have chosen a basic level text today, there were many things I was not sure and have kept using them without thinking. Thanks to your help, they became clearer. I think I need this type of simple training. Brad, thank you again, and I had a lot of fun during the lesson. I hope to see you again soon.

2014-07-27

It was a great time talking about the interesting articles and practising the activities in breaking news. I enjoyed it so much as the TOEIC material we have been used. However I hope you can get back your pc and fix it by yourself promptly...Anyway thanks a lot today, see ya!

2014-07-25

Brad, it was so nice to talk with you today. As I told you, I've always wanted to book your class, and I was very happy and lucky to have talked to you in the class. You are very friendly and approachable, and I had a lot of fun to talk with you during the lesson. Hope to see you soon. I am looking forward to seeing you again.

2014-07-14

I found you've prepared the great materials for the training. Awesome, sugoi desuuuuu!!! They look like really really useful and interesting. I'm sure the training will do very well tomorrow coz you're a genius at playing the games, oh nono, not only that but also teaching English, of course! Ganbatte ne!

2014-07-14

Thanks a lot. 'looking forward to seeing you soon.

2014-07-11

Thanks for the very fun class! I learned how to speak Japanese fluently without saying the word. The video looks like a comic show but most Japanese men are also like that! LOL! They don't say any words but just say "Heeeee?" while having a conversation. In consequence, women continue to speak. That's comon especially among old couples in Japan, so I say to my husband very often if he doesn't say anything without "Heeee?", we should divorce immediately all over the world only except in Japan.I want to change this bad habit. What do you think, is it possible?

2014-07-02

Thank you so much for the lesson last night! As I probably told you before, I really enjoy our talk with you every time. I'd like to book your class again soon. See you!

2014-06-30

Thanks for your awesome class! (anatawa sugoi desu!) It was quite difficult for me to understand the difference between integral, intrinsic, innate and inherent. As long as looking up the dictionary, these are almost same meanings. I didn't find out which one is the most suitable in the sentence. But now I figured out a little... That looks like understanding the difference between "wakarimasuka?" and "wakarimasenka?"muzukasii desune...

2014-06-29

Thanks for listening to my music again. I'll record it and then upload it on Youtube. I was glad to know that you had a great "drinking" time during your BD holidays. Dewa mata ne!

2014-06-23

Thanks for listening to my song and thanks for sending the music notes of your favorite song. I'll practice it ! HBD in advance. Have a wonderful time!

2014-06-18

I've had a really good lesson from you!! Unfortunately I cannot take your lesson often because you seem to be very popular... Hope to take your lesson soon!!

2014-06-18

Thank you very much!

2014-06-17

Now I understand why your room's rarely cleaned up. Because of having delicate hands, you never use a vacuum-cleaner! I'm glad I always update myself while taking your great class. Thanks a lot.

2014-06-08

Thanks a lot today! It seems to be easy for Japanese to understand the difference between a verb "express" and an adjective "express" 'cos that's simillar to saying A-me (rain) and a-Me (candy). But in Kansai dialect, these accent are completely opposite to standard Japanese, understan'??? It was a great fun we learned someting new vice versa during the class! De wa mata ne (see ya)!

2014-06-07

Thanks for your revolutionary class! I know you're exactly the sharpest arrow in the quiver!

2014-06-05

Thanks so much for your very accurate explanation concerning my question. I understood clearly the difference between will do someting and will be doing someting, and the difference between no less than and not less than. Further more, I just knew why keyeye hired you. Because they wanted a good-looking teacher!!! oh! I agree of course. I can't deny saying in terms of both looks and intelligence, you're perfect!

2014-05-28

Thanks for your very very useful class. I just found that your new text's been uploaded on the website. Congrats! Have you already got its compensation? I hope you have an extremely great time after buying new games. I think it'd be great for many students that you can work almost every day since summer is over now in the Philippines. Talk to you soon, Mata ne!

2014-05-21

Thanks for providing the good text. I've used the same text in the English school in Cebu. I thought it was very useful to enlarge my vocab. Anyway, I was surprised you started doing exercise. Enjoy your stationary cycling!

2014-05-19

阪急(Hankyu) so much for the great fun class!

2014-05-18

Thanks so much for your marvelous class! I'm very glad we're almost done the new materials that you edited before it's uploaded on the website. I sometimes get confused when the words in the choices have very similar meanings each other. I realize it's hard to get the meaning correctly as native speakers generally use by only using dictionary or reading the explanation in a TOEIC text. You always show me the good examples using the target word. That's the best way to make easy to understand.I always appreciate your great teaching! Arigatougozaimasu.

2014-05-08

Thank you very much. You are so kind.See you again.

2014-05-08

Congrats! You finally completed the new material and restart playing _ _ _ _ S!!! otsukaresama deshita! I'm really looking forward to using it. I'm sure your text is very very useful and I might be able to aim at a high score in TOEIC someday,hehehe...

2014-04-23

Thank you so much for tha lesson last night, I really enjoyed our talk very much! I'd like to take your lesson again soon! (sometimes it's hard to book as you're so popular teacher, but I'll try)

2014-04-16

Thanks for your great class, but today's text was quite difficult for me...I simply didn't get the difference between intergrate, assimlate and encompass and which should be correct to choose in the sentence. Muzukasii desu---! I don't think there are the very confusing questions in a real TOEIC exam.

2014-04-12

Thanks for your great SMLE class! I just knew the past tense of the verb forbid is forbade. I enjoyed learning something new from you as always. Thanks a lot !

2014-04-05

Many thanks for your advice. see you!

2014-04-03

I really enjoyed talking with you. You encourage me every time, thank you:)

2014-03-29

Thank you for teaching. That website is saying very intersting. But, it is difficult to translate it to me:D

2014-03-25

Thnx so much for correcting my draft again. I was very surprised that you told me my writing skill was extremely improved,oh really? I haven't learned business English in any school yet. I was able to learn how to write a business letter from only your great correction. I really appreciate that you always teach me something new and something important very generously and very very patiently. I don't think my business will go well without your great help. I really hope I'll get a chance to promote my biz in the upcoming exposition because I have to invest a lot of money to enter it...plz wish me luck.

2014-03-22

I had a great time taking your SMLE lesson for long time tonight! Thanks for your very fun and fruitful class. Otsukaresamadeshita!

2014-03-22

Thank you for teaching the way of pronunciation. I should practice more.

2014-03-20

Today's lesson was not easy as pie for me (=muzukashii desu!)bt very interesting. I think this text is very useful for someone who needs to use English in business like me, but a bit more difficult than the actual questions of TOEIC. I found there were many vocabs and gramatical rules that I didn't know even though I've studied a lot using more than 5 textbooks of TOEIC. Now I'm very glad I learned something new from you. Thanks a lot, my great teacher Brad-sensei !!!

2014-03-15

Thanks so much for your awesome SMLE class! Although the lesson was exercise and exam most of the time, I enjoyed your class very very much as always. Hope to see you tomorrow again, Gd nite!( bt I know you don't sleep during the nite because of playing something that starts with letter G!)Enjoy your great night!

2014-03-13

Thanks for your great class! The text that you provided me tonight was very fun, moreover I think it's very useful for the students who want to take TOEIC and aim at high score. Although it was not easy because there are some unknown words in the text, but I was able to guess the correct answer. 'Cos you've taught me a lot for more than two years. Now I feel as if my English skills were extremely improved, oh really?(Honyouni?) Anyway I always do appreciate you...!

2014-03-13

Thanks! I can undersand very well. see you!

2014-03-08

Thanks for your fantastic SMLE class! I was very happy I learned a lot including the old idiom. I didn't know the meaning of the word "spinster", so I have to keep in mind not to normaly use this. There's sometimes a strange question or answer in the SMLE text, so I don't know if I'm going or coming...but I don't worry about it because you always answer my question and solve any problem immediately. Thanks again and again, my great kamen-writer teacher!

2014-03-06

Thank you for explaining a lot. I didn't know that. I got it :D

2014-03-02

レッスンを進めてない、発音は聞き取れない

2014-02-25

Thanks for the great fun class ! Otsukare samadeshita! Enjoy you dinner at midnite,yumyum...but please be careful not to eat too much.

2014-02-24

Thank you so much. It is becoming difficult more and more, I worry whether I can understand or not...

Thnx for the fun class! Although the exercise is a little difficult, but it's very very fun. I hope to have your great class very often, but it's not easy because you don't work so much because of your OBRIGATION. I know your time to do your OBRIGATION is very very important for you, but I wish I saw you almost every day...Do you understan'how I feel so ambivalent...?

You know what...in the sentence "Has your life been in danger before?" I misunderstood the word "life". I thought it meant "a daily or an ordinary life" not "life " itself. So my answer was a little awkward. Anyway your lesson is always nice. Thank you, Brad!!

Thanks for your great class. Although this lesson was almost same as Callan except the word "futon"! I simply couldn't remember what I learned even a week ago...as this sentence, I understand how to use a relative pronoun "what" but it's not easy to explain it using the exactly words in English. Anyway, I'm gonna take TOEIC tomorrow despite bad condition...wish me luck, plz.
